F.A.Q.’s

  1. Where can I buy the QuiP tape dispenser?
  2. Which brand of tape is required?
  3. Is a bandwidth of 25 mm the only bandwidth that can be applied?
  4. What is important when buying the right quality of tape?
  5. What tape measures can be used with the tape dispenser?
  6. What issues I need to focus when applying tape?
  7. Is the blade changeable?
  8. When applying tape 2-3 mm from the edge is required. Is that possible?
  1. Please look at Distribution for the nearest outlet.
  2. 25mm.(1 inch) bandwidth of tape en appr. 55 meters in length with a kernel of 3 inch (76mm). But it also depends on the thickness and stretch of the tape. We advise not to save on the quality of tape as this has a direct effect on the final result and ease of operation. In general a better quality tape can be left longer without the need to remove the tape. The exact specifications are written on the blister. There is a great variety of appliances in tape.
  3. Smaller tape (bijv. 19mm.) of course is possible, 25mm. (1 inch)is max. with the 19mm. you can either fixate the tape in the middle or at the edge. Within short notice we will also introduce a tape dispenser for greater tape widths.
  4. Important are:
    • tapewidth, tapelength, thickness
    • appliance
    • adhesion power
    • durability
  5. 25mm. (1 inch) bandwidth is max. Als smaller tapes can be used, the only thing is important that the kernel is 3 inch. With the 19mm. you can apply tape from the edge up to your requirements.
  6. The surface where the tape needs to be applied must be free of dust, dirt and humidity. Do not put to much pressure during appliance of tape. In case you do the tape will slip on the surface. The rubber wheels of the tape dispenser press the tape on the surface: check afterwards of the tape is well applied so taht paint can not come underneath. Tilt the tape dispenser during appliance and about 10 inch before the next corner take care that the tape dispenser is completely tilted. Now the safety pin is pressed in. Do no tear the tape dispenser away when coming at the end, otherwise the safety pin will come out and the trigger will not be activated.
  7. No, that is not the case. In case the tape dispenser is used correctly the knife can not become bone in principle. When the tape dispenser is used in a wrong way and the knife hits hard material like glass, wood, metal or concrete this will be the case. Proper usage is therefore essential.
  8. You can put a 19mm. bandwidth of tape in the centre of the spool of the tape dispenser. Now you will be able to apply tape with a distance of 2,5 mm to the surface. The tape role is fixated on the spool so will not move to the side, but only when you do that yourself.
