Tips for using the right tape
- As a painters job requires a lot of preparation we recommend to use good quality painter tools. Also in tape there is a great variety in quality. Please ask your retailer for advice.
- Use the right tape for the right purpose. If tape will be exposed to direct sunlight use tape that is sunlight-resistant and that won’t stick on the surface.
- Tape based on washi paper is used when you really want to reach extreme sharp lines.
- Before masking the tape the surface must be clean dry and dust-free so tape will stick properly.
- If you intend to remove tape take the end of the tape and tear the tape at an angle of 90 degrees.
- If you intend to remove tape after more than a week there is special tape available for that purpose.
- Continuous developments in the quality of tape helps to create a perfect result. When applied correctly the tape edges will be pressed against the surface so that sharp painting lines can be achieved.
